As part of the promotion of the 20th Asian Games to be held in Aichi-Nagaya, Japan from September 19 to October 4, 2026, a colorful Fun Run Rally, exhibition of various sports, country games and closing ceremony were organized by the Bangladesh Olympic Association on the morning of June 10, 2026. The rally started at 7:30 am from the Bangladesh Shishu Academy premises and ended at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Badminton and Table Tennis Indoor Stadium. The Fun Run Rally was inaugurated by BOA Vice President Major Imroz Ahmed (Retd.). Players and officials of 23 federations/boards/associations participating in the upcoming Asian Games, members of the Executive Committee of the BOA, officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council, 02 members of the Asian Games Organizing Committee and 02 members of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) participated in this colorful rally. At the end of the rally, certificates were distributed among the participants.
In the second phase of the program, exhibitions of Kabaddi, Karate, Judo, Taekwondo and Wushu were held at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium. In the third phase, exhibitions of folk games such as Dariabandha and Lathi Khela were organized.
In the closing ceremony, 02 elite athletes of Bangladesh, Archer Md. Sagar Islam and Shooter Nilufa Yasmin, shared their dreams for the upcoming Asian Games in the light of their sports experience. Then, the representative of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Mr. Zhou Jian, the representative of the Aichi-Nagaya 2026 Asian Games Organizing Committee Mr. Toshikazu Honjo and the chief guest of the event Major Imroz Ahmed (Retd), Vice President, BOA delivered speeches to everyone.
